Alex and Maggie

Over the past year, alot has happened in my humble life.
I have found someone whom I love more than anything in this world….. someone who is my inspiration.
I have also come to terms with myself …. I was just not the kind who can sit in the office the whole day and getting the same old salary every month….. I was just plain unhappy….. something deep inside me was feeling very empty. Unfulfilled.
Being a full time photographer was prehaps the best decision I ever made in my life. My whole life have been a build up to this. Destiny finally shows itself. The years spent as an art student ….. being an apprentice photographer ….. being lost in thoughts and feeling alienated…… it all makes sense now….. I have always seen the world through very different EYES.
The world as it is was interested in mass production. A mould was created and all were expected to follow. I refuse to fit in ! We are all so detached from reality and each other that there is no longer any personalised approach to things anymore.
My Photography is about Personalised Service. I hate doing the same things over and over again. The same pose at the same locations….. just different faces….. that’s just not me! I want every shoot that I will ever do to be different and unique. I shall never stop growing as a photographer. Every picture tells a story and that’s the way it should be.
Photography to me is an art…. not a craft!
A craft by definition is the skilled practice of a practical occupation.
Art by definition is the quality, production, expression, or realm, according to aesthetic principles, of what is beautiful, appealing, or of more than ordinary significance.
I choose….. By my Decision…… Photography is an Art ! The camera my paintbrush !

Finally back to posting my works online….got interrupted by reservist thus alot of the shoots done were delayed in the post production stage.
Patrick and Stephanie’s big day on 09112008 happens to be my birthday as well….. a very enjoyable shoot.

Was at the Movie Premiere of the much anticipated Chinese Love Story : The Butterfly Lovers.
An adaptation of the Original Story with a Kungfu Twist. Rather Enjoyable. Funny and yet touching.
Wu Chun who played Liang in the movie was present to introduce us to the movie. A rather pleasant Evening I must say.

Just finished the shoot 4 hrs back…… came back home to upload a few of these. and to dreamland I go.
The NUSS Guildhouse is only gonna be open tomorrow and the dinner was done especially for this sweet couple.
PS: Everything is unedited at the moment so pardon the raw feel……..

The joyful union of Grace and Andrew. The bride was at her joyful while the groom seems rather tense initially. A joy to shoot and great hosts. Ha ha, and guys…… I am supposed to catch you unaware….. that is what photojournalistic style is all about.
